Message from the Principal

I'd like to take to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Ashley Cameron, and I am thrilled to be the new principal of Eisenhower Middle School. I have worked for the past 17 years at Guilford High School as a volleyball coach, science teacher and assistant principal. I am eager to join such a dedicated team and look forward to partnering with families to support our students' success.

In this newsletter, you will find important information to start the school year. As the year goes on, expect to receive monthly newsletters to keep you informed and connected to your child's education.

Pick Up and Drop Off Information

Students may be dropped off and picked up in the front or the back of the building. Sixth grade students line up and enter the building at Door L which is in the back of the building. As such, we encourage families to drop off 6th graders in the back of the school. (From Spring Creek, take El Rancho Lane, west of the building, to Westminster Drive.)

When dropping off and picking up in the front of Eisenhower, follow these rules:

Only Buses use the right lane to drop off and pick up students in those lanes closest to the school including the yellow-lined parking stalls.

Please stay in the car lane (left side) at all times and drop off in the left lane. To expedite the drop-off process, please pull up to the second crosswalk to allow as many cars as possible behind your vehicle to drop off at the same time.

Use the white-lined parking spaces in the left lane. Yellow lane lines may be used for additional parking during events.

Nearly 1000 students are dismissed at the same time, so there will be traffic. Please be patient and courteous.

The few Handicapped Parking Stalls are for those who have a need for them; this includes students and parents/guardians who have crutches, wheelchairs, or other disabilities who are entering or exiting their vehicles. Do not park in the yellow lines between those stalls which are necessary for ease of access.

The ramp on the west side of the building between the front and back parking lots is for RPS205 facilities/maintenance access only. This is not an access driveway.

Students who are receiving breakfast before school must enter through the exterior Cafeteria Doors.

No other students should be entering through the cafeteria.

Students arriving late to school will enter through door A1 (Security), and check in with the front office.

Visitors to the school must enter through door A1 (Security) and present their valid identification.
